Dreamly APp

Creating a sleep-aid and tracking app from scratch

This project was aimed to develop a new mobile app called Dreamly that helps users manage their sleep schedules and build healthy sleep habits. Targeted towards individuals who struggle with sleep, the app aims to allow the audience to feel at ease when trying to change and track sleep habits. The app's visual tone aims to feel astral, whimsical and dream-like with the visual elements to capture a peaceful night experience, drawing in more users.

Inspiration & Ideation

After initial research, I developed mood boards to establish a direction to bring whimsicality and meaning to the Dreamly app's name. I selected a color palette and visuals such as backgrounds and icons that would reflect these choices. I then developed wireframes to prioritize key information, ensuring clarity and accessibility. Adjustments were made to prevent blending of elements within the color scheme, resulting in a cohesive, visually clear design.

Result

A good night's rest

The final app design of Dreamly successfully delivered an accessible, unique user experience. With a serene color palette and matching assets, the app’s aesthetic successfully captures calming ambiance that aligns with its purpose of peacefulness and relaxation. I would further expand this app design into other devices like tablets and/or watches.
